AWS Specialized Use Cases

AWS Tutorial: End-User & Media Services

Welcome to the End-User and Media Services lesson. How do massive media companies encode live television broadcasts, and how do corporations deploy virtual desktops to thousands of remote workers?

AWS End User Computing and Media

Why Learn These Use Cases?

With the rise of remote work and global video streaming, these specific AWS toolsets are highly requested by enterprise clients looking to modernize their workforce and media delivery.

Tutorial Overview

In this tutorial, you will learn about:

End User Computing (EUC)

Amazon WorkSpaces is a fully managed Desktop as a Service (DaaS) solution. Instead of buying a $2,000 laptop for a new remote employee, you give them a cheap Chromebook and let them log into an Amazon WorkSpace. This provides them with a highly secure, incredibly powerful virtual Windows or Linux desktop running entirely in the cloud. If they spill coffee on their cheap laptop, no corporate data is lost because the data never leaves the AWS data center!

AWS Elemental Media Services

If you are building the next Netflix or Twitch, you use AWS Elemental. It is a suite of services that prepares, formats, and securely delivers your live or on-demand video to any device (TVs, smartphones, tablets) over the internet.
